An Uncooperative Model

I was out creating this painting of  a lone palm tree with the White Tank Mountain as a backdrop a few miles from our house in Surprise, Arizona when I saw a movement off to my right.

I quickly grabbed my camera and got a few pictures of this coyote as he walked across the scene about 30 yards away.  I couldn't paint fast enough to get him in the painting and he ignored my request to "stand still for a few minutes".  Oh well, just goes to show plein air painting is certainly not like painting in the studio.  I'll be posting the finished painting on bill-tomsa.pixels.com soon.

Hope everyone reading this has a very pleasant Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays!
